Who We Are
eHealth is part of the Health Finance And Information Directorate, which is part of the Scottish Government Health & Social Care Department. Its strategic objective is to support improvements in patient care and service performance in line with Ministerial objectives. eHealth is based in St. Andrew’s House, Edinburgh.
The eHealth Programme aims to improve patient care through advances in technology, resulting in better access to health information, quicker test results for clinicians and joined-up GP and hospital services. The scope of eHealth includes all IT systems, information and records management, process change and skills development required for healthcare delivery, including supporting infrastructure and business systems.
